What a difference a year makes.

2013 vs 2012 March 19th front yard pics. Yikes! Snow needs to be gone...like, yesterday.

Here's Brooks at the lake.

Dawn of the Dudes

Acer and I hunted river monsters for awhile before deciding to head for higher (safer) ground for geocaching.

Our "man morning" adventure was, in Acer's words, "How we should spend every Saturday". Hard to argue against that.

Acer's soccer game

Ace had his first game in mpls Sat night. The team was short 2 players, 1 coach, and fell one shot shy of a tie. Acer and his team played their hearts out for their interim coach (me). Ace played good defense and made some saves to keep the game tight.

Tilia's first soccer game

Yeah - Tilia rocked it. She is just starting soccer, but plays well. Her team totally won, but who's keeping score? Acer has a game later tonight!

Salix and her pipes.

Salix posed for this shot after making it to the finals in the district 50 meter dash. Go Salix! Please don't hurt 'em!

Mother's day with a chimichanga.

Michelle had a craving - for about a week...chimichanga. We found them at Acapulco near 694. Tilia loved the fried ice cream.

Tilia is biking - finally spring!

Tilia is itching to cruise the streets of the neighborhood on her new bike. She's cautious on her steed, but eager to go places. Seems like a good combo.

Regional gymnastics meet level 8

Salix is in the middle of the competition today. Everyone else in the family is still in the middle of digesting the Maid-Rite lunch.

We went camping the other day in T.F. - visited cascade falls for a bit and had a relaxing break from the norm. Tilia may have been the last one awake in the entire campground...wonder why? We stopped by an old favorite - Coffee Talk and said hello. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by the place.

Arizona Trip

Michelle and Acer are back from visiting Mark in Arizona. It was a fun adventure for Acer! We've loaded some pics to our flickr account. We'll add a few here soon.

Salix is 10! - (very old)

The girls went to Buca and had their nails done - how nice.

barely remembered my password.

That about sums it up. A great Memorial Day weekend to everyone! Here are a few shots of spring at the Iverson house and Salix's tenth, yes-10th, birthday party.

We are all itching to be outside and enjoy the early summer weather. Acer has been throwing the baseball around and Tilia has been taking good care of her dolls (James and Jane), and Salix has been learning new gym tricks. That's the lowdown.

Salix moves to level 8

Yes, Salix has moved on...at least in the gymnastics world. She was in Ft. Lauderdale last weekend and earned a 35+ score on her series of level 7 events. This qualifies her for the state meet later this spring and a move up to level 8 for next season. Hard to believe that she will be 10 in a few months!

The Bill of Farts

Acer's book is officially published! You can now order your own copy at: his website. Or, you could purchase it at this site. We are thinking that getting it on Amazon or Barnes and Nobles would be a good thing. More on that in the future. We've managed to sell a few copies - so the seal is broken. For sure this deserves the Newbery Medal.

Salix & Jon defy gravity - for .01s

Seems to look more extreme in reverse...it felt more extreme than it looks - I must be getting old.

Tilia and a new sled

We went sledding with Papa Paul over the winter break. Tilia certainly loved the new sled from Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Scot.

Evidence below:

Gopher Invite

Salix had her first gymnastics meet of the new year last weekend. Level 7 sure is tough - but cool seeing her flip like that.

The family went in support - and encouraged Salix to "Branch It".

We've posted a few videos to YouTube: Here is a sample.

As always, we're awfully proud of her.

Halloween Picture

I was involved in a bike race - in the race, but I wouldn't say "racing". Some dude took this shot of me - not sure if my leg is actually broken, but it looks a bit out of joint?

Enjoy my "Officer Dangle".

Leaves in the fall...

Michelle's favorite season is Spring - but I've always been fond of Fall - perhaps it is the new school year scent that arrives..I don't know. The kids always like the leaves that accumulate from our neighbors. I told Papa Paul at some point that I'd update with pictures, so here's a few from the fall for you.

We also went to Harriet Alexander wildflower garden this Fall - a great way to spend the afternoon.

The kids are growing up so fast!
